Setagaya Park Skatepark, known locally as SL Park, is a dedicated multi-discipline outdoor skate facility within one of Setagaya-ku's most popular public parks. The facility is divided into three zones: Section Area 1 and Section Area 2 serve skateboarding and inline skating, while the Flat Area provides open space for BMX and flat-ground skating. The park is family-friendly, welcoming skaters of all ages and experience levels in a well-maintained public setting.
History
Setagaya Park is a long-established public recreational space in Ikejiri, known for its iconic miniature steam locomotive display. The dedicated skate facility — branded SL Park in reference to the locomotive — was developed as part of the park's broader expansion to accommodate active sports. Over the years it has become a neighbourhood hub for local youth and the skateboarding community of central Setagaya ward.
