Kashiwa Shonan Yume Farm Skateboard Park is an outdoor skatepark carved out of the forest in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, on the grounds of the Yume Farm outdoor leisure complex. It offers a wide variety of obstacles for everyone from first-time riders to advanced skaters, including a flat practice area, ramps designed by HOLHY, quarter pipes, banks, rails, curbs, a pyramid, a spine, and a concrete mini ramp. A barbecue area is built right next to the park, making it a unique spot where you can skate and BBQ in the middle of the woods. No reservation is required, and once you enter you can skate as long as you like during opening hours. Murasaki Sports occasionally hosts skate lessons on site.
History
The skatepark was developed inside Kashiwa Shonan Yume Farm, an outdoor leisure facility operated in the forests of Fuse, Kashiwa City, Chiba. It was built by clearing a section of woodland to create a forest-style skatepark, with ramps designed by Japanese skater/designer HOLHY. The site has since become known for combining skateboarding with BBQ and other outdoor activities such as the Sky Adventure athletic course, glamping and tree houses.
