DIORAMA Skate Lounge is a stylish underground indoor skatepark and café in Itabashi, Itabashi-ku, located in the basement of the Dia Palace Shin-Itabashi building. The facility combines a well-appointed skate space — featuring boxes, manual pads, banks, ramps, and a bowl — with a café where skaters can rest and socialise after their session. The ramp sizes are considered well-suited to skill progression, earning the park praise for its thoughtful layout. Helmets are not required for adults, though mandatory for children under thirteen.

History

DIORAMA was established in Itabashi ward to serve the skateboarding community in the northern part of Tokyo's 23 wards, an area with relatively fewer dedicated skating facilities than the more central or southern wards. The basement location in a residential building is characteristic of Tokyo's creative approach to finding space for indoor sports in a dense urban environment. The integrated café format has helped DIORAMA cultivate a social, lifestyle-oriented identity within Tokyo's skateboarding scene.
